Support for internationals
Documents and settling in — we go through it together.
Registration, health insurance, tax ID, bank account and everyday life after arriving: Caplex explains and accompanies you in Oldenburg — in German, Ukrainian, Russian and other languages.
City registration (Anmeldung)
Registering your address is the first important step in Germany. Without it you usually cannot get a tax ID, and both the bank and the health insurer become difficult.
We tell you which documents you need (passport, tenancy agreement or landlord confirmation), help with the form and come to the appointment in Oldenburg or the relevant authority with you where that helps.
Health insurance (Krankenkasse)
In Germany employees must have health insurance. We explain the difference between statutory and private cover and help you register with an insurer.
That way you are insured from your first day at work and know what is deducted from your pay.
Tax ID (Steuer-ID)
The tax identification number arrives by post after you register your address. We explain where it is needed for income tax and what to do if it does not turn up.
Bank account
You need a German bank account to receive your pay and to pay rent. We explain which documents the banks ask for and help you book an appointment — usually a passport and your registration are enough.
Advice before you travel
You can ask us about work, accommodation, family and documents while you are still at home. We say honestly what is possible and what you should bring — so the arrival is planned rather than improvised.
Support after arrival
The first few days are about orientation: supermarket, transport, SIM card, doctor, the start of your shift. Caplex stays reachable and helps line up appointments instead of leaving you to work it all out alone.
Settling into daily life
Work is the beginning. We help with everyday employment questions, holiday, sick leave and — if you want — with signing up for German courses or a next step such as welder training.
